There are 2 criteria when it comes to choosing a racket:
First, the physical capacity of your child. It is based on his/her weight, height and muscular strength.
Second, the level of practice of your child.

ARTENGO junior rackets. One is made for your child, but which one? Artengo and the Decathlon Creation research centre have jointly made a comprehensive study on the ergonomics of children's rackets. This has shown that a racket should not be chosen according to the child's age, but rather according to the child's physical capacity and level of practice. All rackets in both ranges bear the "Decathlon Ergonomic System" label. |

*If you cannot come to a store to measure your child's muscular strength, you can easily calculate it with bathroom scales. Let him/her squeeze the scales with both hands on either side. The figure shown on the scales will be the strength in kg. |

All Decathlon stores offering children's tennis rackets have a "Diagnostic Center" in the tennis department.
This is equipped with a height gauge, bathroom scales and pressing scales to assess the muscular strength, and will help you evaluate your child's physical category.
