Racket string tension:

As mentioned previously, the cold directly affects your equipment especially the strings.

Without exception all the strings are sensitive to the cold. It is therefore advisable to change tension according to the season. In winter, the racket tension must be reduced at least by a minimum of -1 kilos for main and cross strings. Playing with less tension will enable you to play more relaxed in cold conditions.
To avoid premature breakage, think of also changing the eyelets. A new one will be less sharper for the string if your shot is off-centre.

Increase string tension in spring, when temperatures are more pleasant for playing outdoors.
